Barbara Li joined McGrath Properties in 2006 and brings over 16 years of experience in accounting and financial operations. She interfaces and handles all of the banking relationships as well as the financial operations at McGrath Properties.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining McGrath Properties, Barbara was Controller and Corporate Secretary for seven years at Working Machines Corporation, a warehouse-management and order-fulfillment technology company in Berkeley.  Prior to that, Barbara spent six years working at Jensen, Lardie & Wood, a San Francisco CPA firm serving clients in real estate, wholesale, retail, manufacturing, high-tech, professional companies and nonprofit organizations. Prior to the JLW position, Barbara was the Acting Controller for Real Time Video in San Francisco. Barbara is also an active private real estate investor having acquired over 10 properties in the past two years.

Barbara is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Since 1993, she has been a volunteer, then site manager, of TaxAid in Oakland and San Francisco.

Education

Barbara holds a B.S. in International Business and an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University and continues to attend professional education classes.
